TAIEA NZ
Takirua Shorts
The Takirua Shorts range is inspired by Toitū Te Reo, the world’s first Māori language festival - a long-held dream of Sir Tīmoti Kāretu and Dr. Jeremy Tātere MacLeod - launched in Heretaunga (Hastings) in August 2024. The festival provided a platform for thousands of New Zealanders to celebrate what makes us unique in Aotearoa.
Available in mint and cloudy grey, this range features an embossed waharua pattern, symbolising commitment and courage in using te reo. Made from the highest-grade GSM 100% organic cotton with double stitching detail, these shorts are super soft, durable, and comfortable to wear.
