Takirua Hood set
The Takirua Hood Set is inspired by Toitū Te Reo, the world’s first Māori language festival - a long-held dream of Sir Tīmoti Kāretu and Dr. Jeremy Tātere MacLeod - launched in Heretaunga (Hastings) in August 2024. The festival provided a platform for thousands of New Zealanders to celebrate what makes us unique in Aotearoa.
This range of hood sets is available in bright and bold colours, featuring an embossed waharua pattern that symbolises commitment and courage in using te reo. Made from a heavier GSM fabric, it provides extra warmth and comfort, making it perfect for the cooler months.
